Jim Ward, age 75, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alvin Hutchins, Saturday morning, October 12 after an illness of several weeks. Burial was in the Blackwell Cemetery that afternoon, funeral services being conducted at the grave by Rev. Noggies, Methodist minister of the Pine Mountain Community. Mr. Ward had lived in the community all his life. Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, Hensley Ward of Arkdelphia and seven daughters, Mrs. Vernon Price, Mrs. Jim Lankford, Mrs. John Lewallen, Mrs. Oscar Younger, Mrs. Elmer Younger, Mrs. Mannie Hall, and Mrs. Alvin Hutchins.
