Maud Thurston Christensen, 79, Annabella, Utah, who died Sunday December 5, 1965 in a Richfield hospital of natural causes.

She was born on June 7, 1886 in Annabella. She was the third child of six children to Edwin Tora and Ellen Urselene Barney Thurston.

She was married to H. Peters Christensen on June 14, 1905 in Richfield, Utah, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on May 11, 1921. He died on August 6, 1944.

She was a school teacher in Sevier District during her early life and was postmaster in Annabella, Utah from 1945-1960. She was active in the LDS Church auxiliary organizations and a member of Camp Red Butte, Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Survivors include: a daughter, sons, Mrs. Myron (Marva) Hanchett, Annabella, Utah; Therion Christensen, Meridian, Idaho; Sheldon Ray Christensen of Annabella, Utah; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. J. D. (Nellie) Hopkins, Cedar City, Utah; brothers, Glen Walker Thurston and Elroy Thurston, both of Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hans Peter, son, Darwin Christensen, sister, Lodica Louisa Thurston and a brother, Wayne Thurston.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday December 8, 1965 at the Annabella Ward. Burial was in the Annabella Cemetery under direction by Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Utah.
