Laura "Granny" McKaig Clark age 85, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009. She was born in LaFayette, Georgia to the late J.W. & Evelyn Dickson McKaig. She was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church in Chickamauga, GA. She enjoyed quilting, working cross-word puzzles and selling Avon. She is preceded in death by her husband: Alva Franklin "Alvie" Clark, brother: Charles McKaig. She is survived by her daughter: Diane Chastain of Chickamauga, GA, sons: James F. Clark, Jackie D. Clark, Richard A. Clark all of Chickamauga, GA, brothers: Julian McKaig of TX, Ray McKaig of Griffin, GA, half-brother: Freddy Lawrence of LaFayette, GA, half-sister: Dorothy Swift of Chattanooga, TN, ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 pm - 9 pm and Monday morning until the service.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm – Monday, November 23, 2009 in the chapel with Reverend Hoyt Williams officiating.

Burial will follow in Garrett's Chapel Cemetery, Chickamauga, Georgia.
