KEARNEY--Russell Wayne Hand, 79, of 3423 Ave. M., died Tuesday, November 10, 1992 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.,. Friday at St. James Catholic Church in Kearney with the Rev. Michael Richards officiating. Burial will be at Riverdale Cemetery.
Godberson Mortuary of Kearney is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be 6-7:30 p.,. today at the church. Memorials are planned to the family.
He was born October 6, 1913 near Hazard to Frank and Mabel Sherman Hand. He grew up on a farm near Hazard, and was graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1930.
He married Helen Richter on September 29, 1934.
He farmed for many years in the Pleasanton, Hazard and Riverdale areas, later working as a plumber for Cudaback and Iosty Plumbing. He retired in 1981.
He a member of Elks Lodge, I.O.O.F., the church and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, daughters, Barbara Fisher, Amherst, and Sharon Pfeifer, Denver,; brothers, Beryle of Hixson, Tenn., and Victor of Newman, Colo., and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita and a brother.
