Mrs. Hazel Martine Fricks, 53, of 1425 Oxford St. died at 12:25 a.m. Sunday in Gilmer Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Colfax, Mrs. Fricks had lived in Shreveport for the past eight years and was a member of Laurel Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Horace D. Fricks of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Simpson of Baton Rouge; four step-sons, W. H. Fricks and Ray Fricks, both of Shreveport, T. D. Fricks, Killeen, Tex., and J. P. Fricks of Gwinn, Mich.; one step-daughter, MRs. Jackie Akin of Shreveport, and one grandchild.
Mrs. Fricks will lie in state at Wellman's Funeral Home until 7 a.m. Tuesday and be sent to East Funeral Home in Texarkana for services. burial will be in Eylau Christian Cemetery in Texarkana, Texas.
