She was born September 2, 1922 in Arkinda, Arkansas to John and Kate Stovall
Gallagher. Elsie was a homemaker and loved gardening and quilting. She was a
member of the Winthrop Holiness Church .
Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy Scott on
September 27, 1998, one son, Roy Dale Scott and three brothers and three
sisters.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rosie and Steve Click of
Winthrop; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Melba Scott of Winthrop; one
adopted son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Leveta Scott of Winthrop; two
brothers, Robert Gallagher of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Dan Gallagher of
Winthrop; two sisters, Opal Roberson of New Boston, Texas and Bertha Mae
Vandenburg of Las Vegas, Nevada; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-five
great-grandchildren and twenty-two great great-grandchildren and numerous
nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Scott will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 2,
2009 in the Campground Cemetery in Winthrop with Bro. Audie Dawson and Martin
Maynard officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
