John Henry Heard, a resident of Jackson, died Friday at a local hospital. He was a member of Peniel Baptist Church and belonged to the Santa Fe Lodge No. 226.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita McDaniel Heard of Jackson; his daughter, Susan Walker of Jackson; his brother, Raymond Heard of Roanoke, Ala.; three sisters, Carolyn Bennett of Roanoke, Glema Vowell of Macon, Ga., and Sarah Abernathy of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation be Monday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Peniel Baptist Church in Jackson. Cremation will take place in the Pine Crest Crematory located in Mobile. Arrangements are with Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson.
