Last rites for Mrs. Louise Hancock, 79, 302 Kentucky avenue, who died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday at the Mercy hospital in Elwood following a stroke she suffered Tuesday, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Young's Funeral home. Rev. Robert W. Morris, pastor of the West Street Christian church, will be in charge and burial will be in Fairview cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home where friends are invited to call after noon today. Mrs. Hancock had been ill with a heart ailment before she suffered the stroke of paralysis. She was taken to the hospital early Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Hancock made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Earl Cage.

Born in Tipton county in November, 1867, Mrs. Hancock was the daughter of William Henry and Emily Jane "Emma" (Law) Lockridge. Her husband, Zachary P. Hancock, died 29 years ago. Mrs. Hancock was a member of the West Street Christian church.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Cage, with whom Mrs. Hancock resided; one brother, Hiram A. Lockridge, of Tipton; five grandchildren, Roland Moody, South East street, Raymond Moody, of Indianapolis; Mrs. Anna Mae Shelton, of Indian Head, Md., Dale A. Cage, of windfall and Mrs. Capitola Schulenberg, near Tipton.

Louise Hancock does not have a headstone. She is buried in Block 4, Lot 39, Grave 2. The photo taken shows the approximate grave location.
