Minnie Ovella Henry, daughter of Haaken O. and Charlotte M. (Baxter) Torgerson, was born on August 1, 1941, in Iowa City, Iowa. She attended Ellsworth Community Schools.

Minnie was married to Daniel Henry on February 17, 1959.

Minnie worked for the Turkey Plant in Ellsworth; Franklins in Webster City; Dodger Industry and Casey's in Eagle Grove. She moved to Eagle Grove from Goldfield in 1992. Minnie enjoyed doing needlework and plastic canvas, bird watching and spending time with grandchildren.

Minnie passed away on Wednesday, Setember 18, 2002, at her home in Eagle Grove, at the age of 61 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents and sister, Betty Adams.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Powers and husband, David of Eagle Grove; son, Randy Henry of Eagle Grove; 6 grandchildren: Vanessa Summers of Boone, Anthony Powers of Clarion, Amber Powers of Boone, Amanda Henry, Stacy Henry and Justin Henry all of Webster City; 1 great grandson, Devon Lentz of Boone; 3 sisters: Mary McAlister of Fall Brooke, CA, Cleo Christiansen of Norfolk, VA, Patricia Johnson of Doncombe and 14 brother, Ernest Torgerson and wife Linda of Seattle, WA.
