Orangeburg - Melba Glover Wyndham, 82, a retired registered nurse, died Sunday in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Dukes-Harley Funeral Home, will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Wyndham was born in Livingston, a daughter of Clarence L. Glover and Ida Carson Glover. She attended the Tri-County Hospital Nursing School and served as a civilian nurse with the Army Nurse Corps during World War II. She was a former employee with Georgetown Paper Mill, and formerly served as resident company nurse with Smith, Corona, Marchant and U.S. Plywood Corp. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and was a past president of the Wisteria Garden Club. She was a certified CPR instructor and a member of the Orangeburg Historical Society. She was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was the widow of J. M. 'Jack' Wyndham. Surviving are a son, John G. Wyndham of Columbia; a daughter, Deborah Cody of Clemmons, N.C.; three sisters, Corinne Cardwell and Freddie Phillips, both of Orangeburg, and Julia Livingston of Livingston; and five grandchildren.
