Godfrey ''Freddie'' Garrison, 66, of 308 First North St. died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Ogdensburg, Mr. Garrison resided in Syracuse for more than 40 years. He was a former shipping clerk for Dietz Lantern and a former employee of Crouse-Hinds and Crucible Steel.
A U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a member of American Legion Eastwood Post.
Surviving are his wife, Carmella Cammarato Garrison; two daughters, Katherine Marie Coleman and Victoria Natalie Garrison, both of Syracuse; six brothers, Donald Grenier of Whitesboro, William Garrison of Canastota, Ralph Garrison of Florida and Richard, Robert and Thomas Garrison, all of Syracuse; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Farone & Son Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in Veterans Administration Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 1500 Park St.
