Charlie was the 4th child born (of 6 siblings,) to his parents Henry Craig and Iseta Stone Walters. (4 girls, Ruth, Nannie, Willie and Mary, 2 Boys, Joe and Charlie.) Uncle Charlie, was my mother, Mattie Oma Walters-Coe's half brother.
He married Ella Viola Harris in 1905, Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas. They lived in Houston, Texas until about 1914 where Charlie worked as a Streetcar Interurban Motorman.
His residence in Dallas, Texas was on Clarenden Drive. His death certificate said he had been a resident of Dallas for 35 years. He was a shoe cobbler and had his own Shoemaker Shop Business in Dallas, 2632 Lombardy.
He suffered a heart attack at his business, December 13, 1954 and was DOA at Parkland Hospital. He died of a Coronary Occoslusion at the age of 66 years, and 14 days.
He and Viola, his wife seperated about 1922 but neither divorced or married again. Thier daughter, Hallie Faye lived with her mother in Italy, Texas until she married,Claude Albert Dowdy in 1925 in Dallas.

Charlie was buried in "Laural Land Park Cemetery" in Plot: Space 10, Lot 5, Sec. 8. His sister Ruth and several of her children are buried in the same Lot/Section. ..but another Walters is buried in his space according to the cemetery records,and we do not know who she is.I will be going to the cemetery to check on this.
