Mrs. Elizabeth Blunt Passed Away.
Last week’s Richmond Enterprise.
Mrs. Blunt, mother of John Blunt, died at his home Monday, after an illness of several months. She came here last winter, to visit, and in January, she had a paralytic stroke, which rendered her helpless, and patiently she waited until the tired and wasted body gave up her spirit.
Elizabeth Parks Blunt was born in Scott county, Ill., December 8, 1836. She was married to Hiram Blunt February 12, 1857, and to them were born seven children, two of whom, with the father, died several years ago.
Mrs. Blunt was a life-long member of the Baptist church. She is survived by four sons and one daughter: John Blunt, of Richmond; Mrs. A. F. Daniel, of Ottawa; A. T. Blunt, of Everett, Wash.; Rev. H. P. Blunt, of Cawker City, Kas., and A. F. Blunt, of Kincaid, and one brother, William Parks, of Cherryvale, Kas.
The funeral was held Wednesday, at the Osage Baptist church, in Allen county, conducted by Rev. G. W. Trout, of Pittsburg. The burial was in the Osage cemetery.
