Edna Bass, 85, passed away Friday, December 5, 2003, at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Stringer Funeral Home in Hazlehurst and Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in New Hebron. Services are 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bass is survived by her husband of 64 years, Archie Bass; daughter, Vicki Bass Ramsey of Hazlehurst; sisters, Bradis Dees and Ollie McDaniel, both of Collins; grandchildren, James David Bass, Michael Steven Bass, Sherri Bass Harlan and Shanna Bass Rutland; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Her sons, Archie Bass, Jr. and Noel G. Bass preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, or the Alzheimer's Association of Mississippi.
