Mrs. Adolph Schrader

Tuesday, May 14, at 12:30 p.m., occurred the death of Mrs. Adolph Schrader at her home South of Mason City. She had been ill only three weeks from the recurrence of cancer, which had been thought to be entirely removed in an operation two years ago.

Born Minnie Popes, Mrs. Schrader entered this life Feb. 10, 1879, in Ft Atkinson, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood. Jan. 11, 1899, she became the bride of Adolph Schrader of Ulster township, Floyd County, and for twenty years they farmed near Marble Rock, attending Flood Creek Methodist Church. They then lived near Greene, and lately South of Mason City.

There were two daughters born of this union, the younger of whom, Mrs. Mata Van Horn, passed away October 16, 1933. Mrs. Schrader is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Vera Gauthier, Mason City, and one grandson.

Plans for the funeral are as follows: Prayer at the Schrader home near Mason City at 1:00 p.m., Friday, with services from the Flood Creek Methodist Church at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. C.G. Fort will officiate. Interment will be in Flood Creek cemetery.
