Funeral services for Vera G. VanLengen, 72, Maple Crest Trailer Park, who died Monday at a Mason City nursing home, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel, with Mr. Paul Elliott of the Gospel Hall church, officiating.

Organist will be Ruth Patton. Visitation will be at the chapel until the time of services. Burial will be in the Flood Creek Methodist Cemetery at Marble Rock.

Born Nov. 11, 1900, near Marble Rock, she was the daughter of Adolph and Minnie (Popps) Schrader. She attended schools there. On June 22, 1942, she married Thomas VanLengen, in Bethany, Mo. She had lived in Mason City for more than 50 years.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Richard D. Hewitt, Mason City; a daughter, Mrs. Warren (Rose Marie) Booker, Aledo, Ill,; and four grandchildren. Also surviving is a nephew, Allan A. Van Horn, Charleston, W. Va., whom she reared from childhood.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
