MOORESBORO — Mrs. Blanche Elizabeth Allen Edmonson, 86, of 2228 Camps Creek Church Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at Crawley Memorial Hospital.

A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Mattie McSwain Allen.

Mrs. Edmonson retired from the textile industry.

She was a member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church and was a former longtime member of Second Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school in the children's department for 42 years.

Mrs. Edmonson loved to work in the yard, to write and was an avid reader of the Bible. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Donald Edmonson; and four brothers, Lt. Colonel Claude, Carson, Thomas and J.D. Allen.
