REV. E. B. MARTINDALE DIES OF HEART ATTACK SUNDAY
The Rev. E. B. Martindale, age 65, died suddenly at 2:15 p.m. Sunday at his home, 524 north Jordan avenue, the victim of a heart attack which followed influenza. He had been slightly ill during the past week with influenza, but was thought to be improving. Sunday morning he was stricken with a heart attack and gradually grew worse until his death.

The Rev. Mr. Martindale was affiliated with the Primitive Baptist church and supplied several pulpits in this vicinity. He was to have preached at Union church near Buena Vista Sunday.

He was a native of Greene county. For many years he was western representative of the Vincennes Bridge company and was still connected with the company, and also with Vincennes Glass Co. The family came to this city over two years ago from Muskogee, Okla. where they had lived for the past 15 years and where Mr. Martindale held large oil interests.

Survivors are the widow, who is well known as a landscape painter; two sons, Albert and Ralph Martindale, at home; two brothers, Calahan Martindale of Little Cincinnati and Howard Martindale of Vincennes; and two nephews, Ira Weaver of this city and Claude Martindale of near Ellettsville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the First Baptist church and will be in charge of the Rev. Charles B. Stephens and the Rev. Henry Gwaltney. Interment will be in the Carmichael cemetery.

The body will remain at the Day funeral home until time for the services.
