Woolwich Ernest Ellsworth Colby, 85 died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Farnham Rice.
He was born at Westport, Jan. 25, 1884, son of Charles E. and Anne M. Perkins Colby.
Mr. Colby attended Westport schools and had been self-employed as a carpenter there many years.
He has been a resident here 10 years.
He had attended the Baptist Church at Westport.
Survivors include two sons, Willis C. and Ellsworth, both of Westport; three daughters,Mrs. Francena Rice of Woolwich,
Mrs. Evelyn Delano of Westport and Mrs. Etta Baker of Woolwich; a brother Lawrence C. of Westport; a sister Mrs. Verlie M. Greenleaf of Westport;
nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Curtis Funeral Home, 942 Washington St., Bath.
Burial will be in the family lot in Riverside Cemetery.
