He married Frances Teetor, 1819. They had three children: Hannah, Colmbus J., and Amelia E. There were several "Dudley" families from Maine who migrated to Ohio and began the town, "Maineville," because so many from Maine had come.
"Rev. Cyrus Dudley, a native of Maine, died in Blanchester, Ohio, March 3, 1871, aged 70 years. When quite young he became a member of the Maineville, Freewill Baptist Ohio church. He was married in 1819 and settled in West Woodville, where he resided until his death. In 1835 he commenced his ministerial duties and until near the close of life was active in the work. He was a man of much power in the pulpit, and successful as an evangelist."
