James' birth notice was likely in the Chandler News, May 24, 1895 edition, p. 3 (from Gateway to OK History):
"A big boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Sillers last week. All doing well."

His death notice appears in the Chandler News, May 29, 1896 edition, p. 3 (from Gateway to OK History):
"Died. Jimmie L., little son of J. B. and F. M. Sillers, in Chandler, O. T., died May 21st. Jimmie was a bright boy and his death is sadly remembered by all who knew him."
Contributor: Matthew Hayes (48010446)

The data on this boy is as broken as his grave marker and all the kings' horses and all the kings' men couldn't put it back together again. The only firm evidence comes from A. D. Wright's cemetery book and a few news clips. Mr. Wright, in his clear and firm hand, gives the plot purchaser as J. B. Sillers and the price as $5.
Four news clips grace the Chandler papers between 1891 and 1920. In 1897 J. B. was "building in the north part of town." In the spring of 1899 he built a residence on Allison Avenue and in August sold it to City Marshal Jamison. And twice in 1899 he is mentioned as part of the fire department. This is the last clip at Gateway that mentions him. He did not homestead.
