Death of Anson Mascho.
Anson Mascho, father of A.E., A.A., and H.L. of this city, who came here about four months ago for a visit with his sons, died at the home of A.A. Mascho last Monday afternoon from a complication of diseases. The funeral services were held at the house Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Barker and the interment was made at Wright cemetery.
Anson Mascho was born in 1826 in Tioga county, Penn., went to Knox county, Ill., in 1854 where he was married to Jane Elson two years later. In the fall of 1857, Mr. and Mrs. Mascho moved to Johnson county, Kan., where they have resided until the present time. Deceased was a sincere believer and a conscientious worker in the Christian church, embracing that religion in 1869.
He leaves a wife and seven children, four sons and three daughters: three of the sons reside in Chandler while the fourth, J.N. resides at Overbrook, Kan. The daughters are Mrs. Lillie Rochester and Miss Ona Mascho of Olathe, Kan., and Mrs. Anna Bone of Gardner, Kan.
Though deceased had been in Chandler but a short time he had won the highest respect and esteem of all whom he had met. The bereaved family have the universal sympathy of our people in their hour of sorrow.

There had been a mix-up with Anson's mother's page which has now been fixed. His father's two wives were both Sally, and the dates which were on the page, as well as the headstone in the photo were that of his second wife Sally Coates. The first Sally is the daughter of Ebenezer Taylor [mem.p. 11480491] Her dates are 1798-1824. No info as yet on her resting place.
