Burl Beaverson died peacefully at Parkcliffe Communities on Thursday, December 29, 2005. Born on June 22, 1918, to Nora and Jason Beaverson, Burl was raised in Bowling Green, Ohio.
On January 1, 1944, he married Anna Kuebbeler. After serving in World War II, Burl worked in sales for Sealtest, Babcock and Quality Check Dairies. Burl's memberships included Triad Masonic Lodge of Toledo and the South Toledo Exchange Club. He was also an avid golfer.
Burl is survived by his daughters, Sue Ann (Kenneth) Joy of Marblehead, Ohio and Carol (Marc) Small of Perrysburg. He (and his army stories) will be missed by his six grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob and Laura Joy and Emily, Hailey and Scott Small. In addition to his wife, Anna; his parents and brothers and sisters, Emery, John, Helen, Nellie and twin brother, Merle "Pete" preceded him in death. His sister, Arlene Ferree, of Bowling Green survives.
The family sincerely thanks Parkcliffe Building #1 staff, especially Pam and Satara, along with Debbie G. and Vicki. Special thanks to Kelly Whitmore for the care given to Burl.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 3, 2006, from 4 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. with a memorial service on Wednesday, January 4, at 10 a.m. at Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue. Chaplain Mark Bigley of Heartland Hospice will conduct the service.
