Morton L. Amidon, of South St., Marcellus, died November 7. Mr. Amidon was 100 years old and had lived all his life in Marcellus. He had retired as owner of M.L. Amidon & Son Plumbing and Heating, a Marcellus business he operated for over 45 years with his son, Richard. Mr. Amidon also owned a taxi service in the Marcellus-Otisco Lake area and formally owned and operated a farm. He was a member of Marcellus United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Howard Amidon of Skaneatles and Richard Amidon of Marcellus; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Sercices were November 10, at Norris Funeral Home, Marcellus, with Rev. Leslie Strader officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Marcellus Fire Department Ambulance Fund.
