Death has again invaded a once happy home and carried away a kind mother and faithful young wife. It is our painful duty to chronicle the death of Mrs. John M. Flannagan, who died in this city on Friday last, the 2d inst., after a brief illness, of puerperal phlebitis, a very fatal and unusual complication. Thus it is, "in the midst of life we are in death." Mrs. Flannagan had not yet arrived at the noon-day of life, but was called to cross the river at the threshold of her thirtieth year. By her death her husband has lost a loving and faithful wife, her little children a kind and affectionate mother, the Church a devout and exemplary member, and society a model and generous woman. Let us emulate her virtues and be kind and generous to her loved ones. Let us lend a sympathizing and helping hand to her bereaved husband and motherless little children.
