Joseph H. Tauchert, 79, of St. Louis, Mo., born Sept. 17, 1929, in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Joseph was a member of St. Clair Memorial Park Cemetery Association. He enjoyed doing volunteer work and meeting for lunch with his fellow retirees from Continental Can Company, St. Louis, Mo. Joe loved going to the Muny and visiting Forest Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. and Belle, nee Calbreath, Tauchert; four brothers, Robert E. Tauchert, Walter R. Tauchert, Gilbert R. Tauchert and Paul A. Tauchert; and his sister, Aliene M. Cruikshank.
Surviving are his two sisters, Agnes Shellito of Belleville, Ill., and Marcella Wodochek of Belleville, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill., with the Rev. Jack Kurrelmeyer officiating. Interment will be in St. Clair Memorial Park, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Note: Joseph never married, he is on the same Headstone with his sister.
