Eva Louise Cahill was born May 26, 1905 in Mt. Victory, Ohio to Alexander Cahill and Esta Sherwood Harris Cahill. She was married to Truman Douglas Dille on July 18, 1925. Their children were William Dale Dille and Carol Joann Dille Troth. She died on January 28, 1999.

Eva L. Dille, 93, formerly of 331 Washington Ave., died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Logan Acres.

She was born in Mt. Victory on May 26, 1905, a daughter of the late Alexander and Esta Sherwood Cahill.

On July 18, 1925, she married Truman D. Dille in Kenton, and he preceded her in death on July 4, 1965.

Mrs. Dille has worked as a bookkeeper for the Dille Building Supply Co., operated by her son.

Valedictorian of her 1923 graduating class at Mt. Victory, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bellefontaine, where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the United Methodist Women for more than 60 years. Mrs. Dille also belonged to the Garden Club and Economics Club.

Survivors include a son, William D. (Charlotte) Dille of Bellefontaine; a daughter, Mrs. William (Carol) Troth of Bellefontaine; a sister, Alice Ohls of Milwaukee; four grandchildren, Michael (Susan) Troth of Bellefontaine, James Troth of Toledo, Bethany (Kevin) Dwinnell of Columbus and Andrea Dille of Houston, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Chad and Brian Troth.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Cahill; and three sisters, Florence Thompson, Dorothy Cahill and Isabelle Goyer.

The Rev. William Zeller will conduct funeral services which are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made to The American Society for the Blind.
