Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Littleton Britt, 86, were held in the Chapel of Browning Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 1995, with Rev. Andy John Jenkins and Rev. Gus Jenkins Shelley officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, with Billy Neal, Jimmy Treloar, Bobby Stone, James Edward McCain, Leland McCain and John L. True serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Britt died of respiratory failure at Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississippi in Oxford June 8, 1995.

Born March 5, 1909 in Lafayette County, Mrs. Britt was a daughter of the late James Alexander and Susan Virginia Traywick Littleton. She was retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Manufacturing Company, after working for 30 years.

Mrs. Britt was a member of the Water Valley Pink Ladies and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 4100. She was a Baptist. Her husband was the late Hubert Patrick Britt.

Surviving Mrs. Britt are a daughter, Mary (Jackie) Smith of Water Valley; three sisters, Ruth Pierce of Southaven, Dorothy True of Water Valley and Dollie Neal of Banner; and two grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret McCain, Ardell Stone and Kathryn McCain and brothers Noel Littleton and Charles T. Littleton.
