Kenneth Wood conducted services January 20 at Crafton Baptist Church. Burial was in Crafton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Rogers, Eddie Rogers, David Sparks, Carroll Collier, Johnny Clifton, and Aubry Pool.
Mr. Stockard was a lifetime resident of Crafton, born there July 19, 1923. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, a farmer and rancher and member of First Baptist Church in Crafton. He married Wysonda Clifton in Chico April 19, 1947. Mrs. Stockard survives.
Also surviving are sons Wendell Ray and Ricky Dale Stockard of Crafton, daughter Wanda Joyce McDaniel of Crafton; sisters Lavada Richey and Ova Gardner of Bowie, Edna Warren of Fort Worth, and Jo Lavelle Mercer of Chico; grandchildren Traci Davidson, Carl McDaniel, Bobby Stockard and Stephanie Stockard; great-grandchildren D.J. Davison and Tandler Stockard, and nieces and nephews.
