WILLIAM HENRY SHULER

William Henry Shuler, 76, 420 Holgate Ave., who was employed by the Ohio Highway Department before his retirement seven years ago, died at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

He became ill Friday, was admitted to the hospital Saturday and underwent surgery Sunday.

He was born in Defiance county on Nov. 29, 1885, a son of Reading A. and Emily (Keezer) Shuler. On Sept. 25, 1907, he married Georgianna McCormick, who survives.

He also leaves a son, Donald, Alburqueque, N. Mex.; three daughters, Mrs. B. W. (Grace) Sellick, Kendallville, Ind., and Misses Fern and Velma Shuler, both at home; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Carl (Pelina) Brown, Brunersburg, Mrs. Newton (Olive) Relue, Newark, Ohio, and Mrs. Roger (Esther) Fryer, Painesville.

He had lived in Defiance the last 28 years.

Friends may call after 7:30 o'clock tonight in the Mansfield-Mast funeral home where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Elwood L. Rose, St. Paul's Methodist minister. The burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
