The biography of Jane Brough McKinnon can be found on pages 366-368 of
Randolph - A Look Back
, an exellent historical documentary, written and compiled by Stephen L. Thomson, Jane D. Digerness, and Mar Jean S. Thomson, published in 1981. This rare book tells the remarkable story of the early days of Randolph, Utah, and the truly stalwart pioneers that made Randolph happen, including Jane Brough McKinnon.

Jane Brough married my great-grandfather, Archibald McKinnon, Sr., as his second wife, on July 10, 1879, in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City, Utah, with the knowing consent of his first wife, my great-grandmother, Mary McKay McKinnon. The children of both marriages were very close, as were Mary and Jane. Both Mary and Jane went through many trials, and proved their metal as pioneers and saints, both remaining faithful and strong until the end of their days.

It is my hope that the descendents of Archibald McKinnon, Sr., in both lines, will remain as close as possible in these modern days, as we enjoy the blessings their faith and trials provided for us.

Please note the brass "Faith in Every Footstep" memorial marker on the joint headstone for Archibald, Mary, and Jane McKinnon in the picture at the upper-right.
