She was then educated at Drury College in Springfield, Greene County, Missouri; she the daughter of an early prominent, pioneering family of Carthage, Missouri.

Mrs. H.B. Martin Dies at Her Home
Mrs. Horace B. Martin, 75, of 5303 Swiss, resident of Dallas for forty-eight years, died at her home Monday.
She was the Wife of the late Horace B. Martin, owner of the Martin Stationary Company, and she was connected to that firm for many years.
Born in Carthage, Mo., she was educated at Drury College, Springfield, Mo. After her marriage, she came to Dallas in 1896. She was a charter member of the History Club here and belonged to Zonta Club.
She is survived by three sons, Edgar H. Martin, Dallas; Robert C. Martin, Dallas, and Sgt. Charles A. Martin, Army Air Forces; two sisters, Mrs. Ely M. Kinney, Dallas, and Mrs. F.J. Franks, Joplin, Mo.; one brother, Allen Cunningham, Joplin, Mo., and two granddaughters.
Private funeral services will be held at the residence at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
