Mrs. Opha Cain, 95, of 29396 Plum Creek Road, Paola, Kan., died Feb. 2, 1995, at her home. She was born Oct. 12, 1899, at Huntsville, Ark., the daughter of Jasper Frank and Mandy Fowler Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wood Cain, on Jan. 25, 1980.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Blanche N. and Joe D. Shofner of Paola, Kan.; two brothers, Dr. Austin C. Smith of Huntsville and Paul Smith of Prineville, Ore.; four sisters, Mrs. Artie Mae Spradling and Mrs. Edith Easterling, both of Huntsville, Mrs. Rubye Wilds of Sutherland, Ore., and Mrs. Mary Bean of Pine Bluff, Ark.; two grandsons, Van Shofner and Stan Shofner, both of Paola, Kan.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy I. Cain officiating. Interment was in the Fritts Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Vernon Williams, Lawrence Bowen, Jeff Williams, Jack Reynolds, Phillip Cain and Tom Willcutt.
