Son of William Burnside & Mary Catherine (Lambert), he was the husband of Susan "susie" Virginia Ritter. All the above memorialized in a Lynch section of this restored cemetery on this hillside area of Harrison county, West Virginia. Hiram & wife Susie were blessed with eight children to their family.
One sister also buried in this cemetery : Columbia Anna Clayton in Bridgeport and Berda "Byrd" in Philadelphia.
According to grandson, Hiram "Bill" Wilson Lynch, IV, the intial "J" used for the 1899 oil and gas lease of his then 568 acres, represented "jr", however; his father was William Burnside with grandfather, Hiram .
Hiram reportedly aquired his parents farm (given his father by his father, Hiram Lynch), when it was lost in c1887 to the bank due to the financial troubles encountered during his life.
Fourth of eight children was Hiram W Lynch, III, died 24 days before becoming 100 y/o.
Grandsons from Delaware, Indiana & Ohio helped in the 2004 restoration of cemetery. (Chain-link fence and gate across front of 2004 restored Point Pleasant cemetery came from g,grandson, H W Lynch,V, home near Indianapolis, Indiana.)
