Long time Napa resident, Virginia R. Uram died Thursday, March 30 at a Napa nursing home. She was 93.

A member of a pioneer Napa family, she was born Jan 21, 1902 to Anton and Amelia Brazil. Her grandfather, Louis J. Sequeria, was the original deed holder to a California Land Grant bordering Vallejo Lakes in Wild Horse Valley that is still held by the family.

Mrs Uram has been a resident of St. Helena for the last eight years.

She is survived by two daughters, Lois Laverne Hopkins of St. Helena and Marlene Griffin of Hayward; one sister Josephine Bradley of Napa; six granddaughters, one grandson, two great granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Uram in 1991 and a son William Norman Uram in 1987, four sisters and three brothers.

A private service and internment will be held at Tulocay Cemetery. Fr. Tim O'Sullivan of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Claffey and Rota Funeral Home.
