An infection of his hand, resulting from a cocklebur scratch, took the life of John A. Caudle, age 72 years, who passed away at the home of his son, D.W. Caudle, near Falkville. Death occured July 21 at 10:30 o'clock.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at Lebanan church, interment being made by Priest Directing.
Death followed an illness of two about two months, resulting from the scratch of a cocklebur, which became infected.
The deceased is survised by three sons, D.W. Caudle, Lee Caudle, and W.B. Caudle; five daughters, Mrs. Etta Caudle Maples, Mrs. Novie Pierce, Mrs. Emmet Bunt, Mrs. Audrey Bunt, and Mrs. Victeria Shelton.
