Husband of Sarah Emma Frakes whom he married 17 July 1856 in Sullivan County, Indiana.

They were the parents of Mabel "Belle Frakes Thatcher, Sandra V. Frakes, Leander Frakes, Audrey S. Frakes, Jennie Frakes Baker and Maude M. Frakes Sparks-Hamel.

Aaron was the son of Daniel and Agnes, nee Harris, Frakes.

Obituary from the Porter County Vidette, dated 2 April 1885 (vol 29, issue 14, page 5)...

"Aaron Frakes

SATURDAY. Died -- At his residence on Institute St. on the 23d instant Mr. Aaron Frakes. The deceased was born in Sullivan Co., Ind., April 2, 1825. He came to Valparaiso about 30 years ago, he was married to Sarah Frakes in 1856, by whom he had six children, four of whom three daughter and one son -- survive him. Mr. Frakes was an honest, industrious citizen and a kind and faithful husband and father. The funeral service took place at the family residence on the 25th instant, being conducted by E. S. Riley, of the Baptist Church, after which the remains were taken and buried in Flemming cemetery."
