She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Gene" Looper.
She Retired as an educator from Dalton School System in 2003 due to illness.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and David Skinner , and Cindy and Johnny Wellington; a son and daughter-in-law, Edward Jr. and Shelley Looper.
