OBIT WISE COUNTY MESSENGER JUNE 27, 1924
Mrs. Edith Breckenridge, wife of A. Breckenridge died at her home in Chico Thursday morning at four o'clock, after an illness of nearly two months. Funeral at the Christian Church, Friday at three o'clock p.m. Burial in Chico cemetery. Funeral services to be conducted by Rev. J. T. Stanfield, a life-long friend. Deceased was among the first settlers of Chico, and made a host of friends who will be grieved by her death. She was a member of the Christian Church and was a most enthusiastic worker for the cause of Christianity. She will be missed by her many friends in Chico and elsewhere, who learned to love her much, because of her noble traits of character and deeds of kindness to those in distress-Chico Review.
