Chloe was the daughter of John W. and Katherine Brumbaugh Whitehead, born on May 9, 1868, near Milford. She married Omar Groves in 1887 and became his widow about 11 years ago. Mrs. Groves lived her entire life in the Milford community. She died at her son's home west of Milford at the age of 80 years on Sept. 30.
Mourners include two sons, Ralph and John; two grandsons and three great-grandsons. A great-grandson Steven Lee preceded her in death.
