Born May 8, 1932, in Bellingham, he served in the Army 82nd Airborne and married Madeline McFadden on July 9, 1954. He lived in the South County area for 35 years.
Mr. Patrick retired in 1986 after 18 years as an educator in the Kent School District. He was a member of the Lake Wilderness Men's Golf Club and served on the Maple Valley City Council from 1997 to the spring of 2003. He had a recreation field named in his honor. He enjoyed golf, salmon fishing and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Zwicker. He is survived by his wife, Madeline Patrick of Maple Valley; sons, Kyle Patrick and Brian Patrick, both of Enumclaw; daughter, Colleen Bleifuss of Gold Bar; mother, Wilma Patrick of Bellingham; brothers, Leland Patrick, Robert Patrick and Michael Patrick, all of Bellingham; sisters, Lolita Peterson, Wilma Ann Johnson, Patty Buss and Linda Grant, all of Bellingham; and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Tahoma National Cemetery in Maple Valley.
Memorials may be made to the Maple Valley Food Bank.
