Obituary for S. A. Rodgers
S. A. Rodgers, a well known farmer of Cussewago Township, died at his home at Coons Corners about 10:30 Wednesday night. Mr. Rodgers suffered a stroke of paralysis last Friday and his case has since been looked on as hopeless. He was in his 57th year and was widely known as a successful farmer and through his large business as a thresher during the harvest seasons. Mr. Rodgers was a member of French Creek Valley Grange, also of Crawford Lodge 734, I.O.O.F., and by all who knew him well, he was highly esteemed. He is survived by his wife and children, James of Cussewago, Miller and Edna at home. The funeral will be announced later.
The Tribune Republican, Thursday, 17 Dec 1914, p. 4, col. 6-7, Meadville, Pa.

Funeral Announcement
The funeral of the late Samuel A. Rodgers will be held from the home in Hayfield Township, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and the interment will be made in the Dunn cemetery (this is incorrect...should be Saegertown Cemetery).
The Tribune Republican, Saturday, 19 Dec 1914, p. 4, col. 5, Meadville, Pa.
