Amanda Frances "Fannie" (Conley) Pinkerton was the daughter of George Washington Conley (1830-1885) who was born and died in Adair County, Missouri; and Rebecca Dorothy (Garber) Conley (1835- ) who was born in Ohio and died in Missouri.

Amanda had the following known siblings:

Joseph L. Conley 1864 –
James B. Conley 1868 –
Bessie C. Conley 1874 –
Lydda M. Conley 1878 –

On April 6, 1881, in Kirksville, Adair County, Missouri, Fannie married George Washington Pinkerton, her 1st cousin. George was a son of Eva Ann (Garber) Pinkerton, a sister to Rebecca (Garber) Conley, Fannie's mother.

Fannie and George had three known children:

Maud C. Pinkerton 1881-
Odessa B. (Pinkerton) Funk 1884-1973
Clyde B. Pinkerton 1887-

The Pinkertons farmed mostly in Schuyler County, Missouri.

Fannie died in 1918 and records indicate that George may have married two more times. A Mr. G. W. Pinkerton married Emma Johnson in 1920, and Eva M. Musie in 1930. (This writer is not positive these are his marriages.) However, his death certificate indicates he was divorced at the time of his death.

Fannie died in 1918 of a malignancy, Missouri Death Certificate 11733. George Pinkerton died of pneumonia in 1941 and is buried beside his wife Fannie in Queen City Cemetery.
