Robert A. Whitfield, 77, a resident of Mountain Home died Thursday at Maplewood Farms Nursing Home. A retired Railroader for Missouri-Pacific and a farmer, he lived in Baxter County most of his life. He was a Methodist.
Mr. Whitfield was born April 23, 1900 in Iuka, to the late Jackson and Lizzie McCurley Whitfield.
Survivors include one sister, Rose A. Parnell of Mountain Home; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services was held Saturday at Kirby-Blevins Funeral Chapel officiated by Rev. Jack Kwok of East Side Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Eddie Hall, Doug Reeves, Joe Reeves, Roe Whitfield, Jack Whitfield, and Delmar Sanders.
Interment took place at Galatia Cemetery near Norfork under direction of Kirby-Blevins Funeral Home in Mountain Home.
