Services for Rose Ann Parnell, 83, Route 7, Mountain Home, were held Sunday at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jack Kwok and Rev. Bill Cook of the East Side Baptist Church officiated.
Mrs. Parnell, the widow of Abe Parnell, died Friday, at Baxter General Hospital.
The daughter of the late Jackson and Lizzie McCurley Whitfield, Mrs. Parnell was born Feb. 3, 1895 at Iuka, and was a lifetime resident of Baxter County. She was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church.
A widow since 1938, Mrs. Parnell was also preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two brothers, and four sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Montene Hall of Mountain Home; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great great grandchildren.
Burial was in the Galatia Cemetery, near Norfork, under the direction of the Roller Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Elmo Stone, Dale Parnell, Bob Miller, Doyne Treat, Kent Smith, and Bob McFerrin.
