Thurman Apple, 84, 3503 South Boots Street, died at Marion General Hospital at 6:45 p.m. Saturday (10 February 1973).

He was born in Oaklandon, Indiana, and was a retired attendant at the VA Hospital and a glass blower at several glass houses in Marion. Mr. Apple was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, the American Federation of Government Employees, the American Flint Glass Blowers Association and of the Free and Accepted Masons, Samaritan Lodge 105.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Violet) Diskey, Marion; a son, Wesley, Jonesboro; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Jessup, Anderson; a brother, Elmer Teter, Mason City, Iowa; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Shawley Memorial Chapel, 2901 South Washington Street.

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Marion, Rev. Walter Baumbaugh officiating. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today.
