Sylvester Parnell, age 59, of Norfork, died Monday morning in a Calico Rock hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm today in the old Galatia church house, and will be conducted by Rev. Obie Ford of Midway.
Mr. Parnell, a native and lifetime resident of Norfork, was born on October 31, 1900, the son of the late Sol and Elizabeth Robertson Parnell.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Mr. Parnell is survived by eight brothers, Edward, Earl, Charlie, Earnie, Bryan, Joe, Rudolph, and Randolph Parnell, all of Norfork; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Southard of Pomona, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Roller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
