Wife of David Greer, married 08 Oct 1840 in Butts Co., Ga. They had the following children: John B. Greer (B. 1842 D. in Civil War), Abel Lewis Greer (1845-1933), Nancy Greer, Edna Greer (B. 1854), Ponye Greer.

In the 1900 census Matilda states she was mother of 6 children, 3 living in 1900. According to census she had 7. I think one died in infancy and she didn't count it.

4. Nancy Matilda 'Nannie' Greer (1859 in Chambers Co., AL-?) She married William R. Hammock on 1 Jan 1874 in Chambers County, AL. William was the son of Jeremiah Hammock (b. 1807 Ga.) and Martha McKinney. She 2nd Dr. George Andrew Weldon.
