Funeral services for Mrs. Elva Montgomery of 958 N. Main street, who died Friday will be held at 1:30 pm Monday in the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home where friends may call after 7 pm today. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
Mrs. Montgomeery was born near Brewerton, N. Y. and came to Illinois with her parents, John and Helena Relyea Nearing. The family lived on a farm near Hallsville and in Kenney, Mrs. Montgomery was married to Samuel r. Montgomery, March 17, 1887 in Kenny. Mr. Montgomery died Dec. 29, 1910.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Effie Dyer of Decatur, a step-son Jerome E. Montgomery, Wickenburg, Ariz and a granddaughter,Mrs. Elva J. Sbaraboro, Chicago. A second daughter,Jessie Newman preceded her in death last October.
