GRIFFIN--On Wednesday, August 7, 1929, at 10:30 o'clock a.m. ELEANOR ESTELLE MURPHY, widow of the late A. J. Griffin and mother of Edmund and J. C. Griffin, and foster mother of Ruby Murphy, a native of New Orleans, La. The relatives, friends, and acquaintances of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will take place Friday, August 9, 1929, at 9:30 o'clock a.m. from the late residence of the deceased, 7715 Burthe street. Interment in Metairie cemetery.

AGED WOMAN DIES ON VACATION JAUNT
Stricken While En Route from New Orleans to Arkansas
Shreveport, La., Aug 7.--Mrs. Stella Murphy Griffin, 68 years old, of New Orleans, and formerly of Shreveport, died today from an attack of acute indigestion in a drug store at Vivian, where she was taken after being stricken a few miles from Vivian, while making an automobile trip from New Orleans to Eureka Springs, Ark., for a six weeks vacation.
Mrs. Griffin was accompanied by her niece, Miss Ruby Murphy of New Orleans, with whom she resided, and by Mrs. Rosa Tucker and Miss Lova Tucker of Dallas, Texas.
The body was brought here from Vivian, to be taken to New Orleans for interment. Mrs. Griffin is survived by two sons, Joe and Edmond Griffin of New Orleans, by her niece, Miss Murphy, and by a number of other relatives, including two cousins residing in Shreveport, Mrs. E. Wortman and Mrs. Sue Murphy.
